Funding for HSR Approved by House; Most HSR Agencies See Increases

On July 19 at approximately 6:15 pm, the Labor-HHS-Education bill was approved by the House, 276-140. The vote at 66.4 percent is within striking distance of 290, or the 66.7 percent needed to override a presidential veto. 53 Republicans voted for the bill; only 1 Democrat voted against; 15 Members did not vote.
