The Coalition for Health Services Research is the advocacy arm of AcademyHealth and is supported by portions of AcademyHealth members' dues. Our mission is to build and advance the field of health services research. Each year we recommend that Congress legislate appropriate funding levels for the federal agencies that support health services research, as determined by the Coalition's leadership. We track the levels of agency funding recommended by the President, House, and Senate throughout the annual budget and appropriations cycle and regularly report these updates in our funding chart. |
The Coalition tracks legislation of interest to AcademyHealth members and the health services research community. We also take action to advance our policy priorities that impact health services researchers as they conduct their work.
Our press releases, letters, and our testimony are important tools used to communicate our message to Congress and the public. We also hold briefings on important policy issues for members of Congress and their staff. |
